  How I know JW's have the truth

  jehovah's witnesses are the true christian congregation.. i know they are because they tell the truth and their core doctrines have not ever changed:.

  yes, the time must come shortly that the nations will have to know that really a "prophet" of jehovah was among them.

  actually now more than a million and a half persons are helping that collective or composite "prophet" in his preaching work and well over that number of others are studying the bible with the "prophet" group and its companions..

  so, you see a hidden book (in this internet age), so you view a "confidential" letter, so you record a meeting?.

  the watchtower thinks they are entrusted with special communication that ultimately comes from god.

  only special ones can be privy to the inner most holy of the watchtower society.. they obviously feel they have been enlightened by god & his governing body to demand whatever allegiance they feel is deserved.. yet, quite simply, they are full of shit.

  we went to target this weekend to look at halloween costumes for the kiddos (and maybe me - i'm still a kid at heart).

  my daughter and i were walking down a main aisle when an ex-friend - the very one who testified that i refused to discuss my doubts - came out of a side aisle and almost turned our direction.

  we made eye contact and i gave him a nod as we continued to walk toward him.... but he stopped like he'd run into a brick wall, then turned and started walking with his back to us so that we didn't cross paths.. my daughter pipes up and says, "hey, daddy, isn't that [edit]??

  just had 2 elders invite me to my judicial meeding about my marriage of two years.

  they think my husband was not legaly divorced.

  but he was and i had 3 lawyers tell me he was.

  What were the circumstances that caused you to seek the advice of three lawyers about his marital status?

  Maybe the elders are saying that he wasn't SCRIPTURALLY free to marry you, which is different, as far as the WTB&TS is concerned, from being legally free to marry.

  Why A Watchtower College Would Make Sense - Now

  however, i offer this thought to you bethel monitors and the governing frauds who keep tabs on what goes on here.. you guys would be well-advised to start your own 2 year college - immediately.. why?

  well, if you are nearing a tipping point about jobs/retirement and college, then you would be well advised to get in front of the movement and capitalize on it!

  That idea is so reasonable there is no way in Hell that the WTB&TS would do it. An "(barely) "educated," affluent base? Who do you think they are - MORMONS?

  It might become a financial black hole for them unless they got the contracts signed in blood, from which they could extract and sell the various components.

  In fact, if they wantred to change their image to something more mainstream, they could start a WT Approved Blood FRACTION Bank to which all publisher would be required to contribute. Maybe one pint would equal 5 hours of Field Circus.

  Hi Lauren, and welcome to our little clubhouse!

  One thing that I found helpful in overcoming my social dysphoria was imitating the behavior of people who projected the kind of confidence I admired. In neuro-linguistic programming this is called "modelling." Other folks have described it as "fake it 'til you make it." It works.

  Because you are still quite young I would strongly urge you not to make any life-long commitments (i.e., marriage) with your boyfriend until you've gotten to know him much more fully. Hopefully he will be the kind of caring responsible man that you deserve. The world has badness in it, as you have already seen, but it also has much to bring you joy and happiness.

  There is a saying; "It's never too late to live happily ever after." Many here who are several times your age have found this to be true. Certainly this is true for you.

  i posted a foum early this week on whether or not i should get baptized.

  i decided not to.. now even though he says he "doesn't care" he got upset last night when i mentioned the subject and how confused i was.

  Green Jade, no offense, but I think the advice you are offering is bad advice because you married a NON-Witness and things worked out.

  Here, the situation is completely reversed. This young lady is contemplating marriage to a JW whose parents very enthusiastically seek her conversion to JWism. Her life will be ruined if she links up with a cultist and his mind-controlled family.

  She is beginning to see the snippyness and sarcasm emerge from his personality as he is confronted with the cognitive dissonance induced by his romantic attachment to this girl and his overwhelming desire to please his parents and secure eternal life from the WATCHTOWER.

  As BTS correctly pointed out concerning the possibility of liquid water, "Only under appropriate gas pressures and temperatures. The moon is the same distance from the Sun as the Earth, you know..."

  Ah, but the moon is SMALL and has no atmosphere...

  The pressures and temps are functions of gravity and atmosphere. Gliese 581g is about 3.7 earth masses in size, so it should have some kind of atmosphere. If the planet also has a magnetic field (caused by a liquid iron core), the atmosphere might be protected from the solar wind of it's red-dwarf - err, I mean LITTLE PERSON - mother star. This could be quite promising.

  Maybe new light will show that King Jesus is going to relocate the JWs to Gliese 581g, where pet dinosaurs await their arival!

  (Note to the Faithful and Discrete Slave of the WTB&TS: these ideas are copyrighted by me and the owner of this board here and now. You'll have to come up with your own whack-job new light.)

  Here's a bit of what wikipedia says about it: "an unconfirmed extrasolar planet, orbiting the red dwarf star Gliese 581, 20.5 light-years from Earth... It is the sixth planet discovered in the Gliese 581 planetary system and the fourth in order of increasing distance from the star. The discovery was announced by the Lick-Carnegie Exoplanet Survey in late September 2010, after a decade of observation.

  Studies indicate the planet is situated near the middle of the habitable zone of its parent star, where temperatures are neither too hot nor too cold. If it is a rocky planet, favorable atmospheric conditions could permit the presence of liquid water, a necessity for all known life, on its surface. With a mass 3.1 to 4.3 times Earth's, Gliese 581 g is considered a super-Earth, and is the planet closest in size to Earth known in a habitable zone. This makes it the most Earth-like Goldilocks planet found outside the Solar System and the exoplanet with the greatest recognized potential for harboring life.
